The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, (TAMPAN), has finally lifted the suspension on actress Nkechi Blessing three years after her public apology.

AFRIPOST recently reported that the controversy began in 2021 when Blessing engaged in a social media fight with colleague Kehinde Adams, better known as Lege Miami, over the arrest of another actor Baba Ijesha.

Baba Ijesha was convicted of assaulting a minor. While Blessing’s subsequent criticism of TAMPAN led to her suspension.

However, Blessing recently apologized to TAMPAN at the Nigerian Canadian Celebrities Entertainment Awards in Toronto. AFRIPOST reported.

In a now-viral video, the 35-year-old knelt before Bolaji Amusan, the TAMPAN president better known as Mr Latin, seeking forgiveness.

She acknowledged the significant impact the association has had on her career, expressing gratitude and remorse.

“I am deeply sorry for all I did. I am so sorry. I beg you from the bottom of my heart to please forgive me. I appreciate the industry. You all made me who I am today. I would not be anyone if not because of you,” she said.

In a development, TAMPAN President, Bolaji Amusan also welcomed Blessing back into the association, commending her “courage” in a post on Instagram.

“I commend and admire your courage… welcome on board!!!” he wrote.
