A shooting at Florida State University in Tallahassee on Thursday left at least five people dead and several others injured, according to local authorities.
The incident occurred near the student union shortly after noon, when two individuals opened fire on a group of students.
Police responded swiftly, fatally shooting one of the suspects and arresting the other.
The identities of both suspects have not yet been released.
Tallahassee Memorial Healthcare reported that four people were injured, with one in critical condition.
Footage circulating on social media showed emergency responders assisting victims as chaos spread across the campus.
The university remains under full lockdown, and officials have advised residents to stay indoors, lock their doors, and stay away from windows as the investigation continues.
