Lawmakers in the Lagos State House of Assembly have praised Speaker Mojisola Meranda for her leadership and legislative impact, commending her dedication despite her brief tenure.
Meranda took office on January 13, 2025, following the removal of former Speaker Mudashiru Obasa, who is reportedly set for reinstatement.
During a plenary session that began at 2:20 p.m., Aro Moshood (Oshodi-Isolo I) led the commendations, describing Meranda’s leadership as transformative. He noted that she had handled the transition with excellence.
Kehinde Joseph (Alimosho II) also lauded her resilience and humility, stating, “Your time may be short, but you have written your name in gold.”
Other lawmakers echoed similar sentiments, highlighting her commitment to legislative progress and consensus-building.
