Osun State Governor, Ademola Adeleke, has met with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja and presented his certificate of return following his victory in the August 15 governorship election.
Adeleke led a delegation to the meeting, according to a post by the Special Assistant to the President on Social Media.
The governor used the visit to formally present the certificate and appreciate Tinubu over the outcome of the governorship election.
The presidential aide wrote, “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu receives in audience a delegation led by Gov Ademola Adeleke, as he presents his certificate of return to Mr President and gives gratitude for success at the just concluded August 15 governorship election in Osun State.”
The meeting took place shortly after the governorship poll, in which Adeleke emerged victorious, securing another mandate from the electorate.
The governor’s visit also provided an opportunity for him to acknowledge the President following the conclusion of the election and his subsequent declaration as winner.
Adeleke was accompanied by members of his delegation during the visit to the President.
The meeting between the two leaders comes as Adeleke looks ahead to the commencement of his next tenure in office following his electoral victory.
