The Katsina State government has discharged six COVID-19 patients in the State.

The Chief Medical Director, Federal Medical Centre, Katsina, Dr Bello Suleiman, who made this known on Wednesday, said they were discharged after they tested negative twice.

He also revealed that a two-and a half-year-old child was among the discharged patients.

He noted that the feat was achieved after 19 days of treatment of the Coronavirus patients.

According to him, all the discharged patients are from Daura Local Government Area of the state, where the first index case was recorded.

NAN reports that he said the remaining eight patients were being treated at the facility and were responding well to treatment.

Suleiman, therefore, commended various stakeholders that contributed to the successful discharge of the patients.
