Dalung: Cabal in Tinubu’s Government More Dangerous Than Any Other

Solomon Dalung, a former Minister of Youth and Sports, has claimed that a powerful cabal exists within President Bola Tinubu’s government. According to Dalung, this influential group of individuals has effectively taken control of the government, operating it according to their own interests.

In an interview on the ‘Mic On’ podcast with journalist Seun Okinbaloye, Dalung alleged that these individuals deliberately keep President Tinubu uninformed, shielding him from the realities of governance and blocking anyone who tries to update him. He described the cabal as highly sophisticated, experienced, and well-informed, noting that many of its members have been in power for years.

Dalung compared the current cabal to that of former President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration, asserting that while Buhari’s group consisted of less informed individuals with limited experience, Tinubu’s cabal is far more dangerous due to their deep understanding of power and governance.

He stated, “The cabal in Nigeria’s presidency still exists today. Tinubu’s cabal is the most sophisticated and more dangerous than Buhari’s. Buhari’s cabal was made up of people with little experience and knowledge, which led to widespread mismanagement. In contrast, Tinubu’s cabal is experienced, well-versed in power dynamics, and highly informed, making them a more formidable force.”
