The Nigerian film industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of Nollywood actress and producer, Allwell Ademola.

As reported by The Nation, Ademola was reported to have died on Saturday, December 27, 2025, at the age of 43. Although details surrounding her death remain sketchy, reports suggest she suffered a heart attack at her residence.

As of the time of filing this report, the news of her passing was being discussed quietly among her friends and colleagues in the industry, with many still coming to terms with the sudden loss.

Allwell Ademola, a granddaughter of the late Sir Adetokunbo Ademola, the highly respected Nigerian jurist and former Chief Justice, carved a notable niche for herself in Nollywood as both an actress and a producer.

Over the years, she produced several films and was credited with contributing to the growth of the careers of a number of actors, including Rotimi Salami.

Her death has continued to spark concern and renewed conversations within the Nigerian film industry, as colleagues and fans lament the loss of one of its creative talents.
