2027: Tinubu’s Victory will end your Political relevance, Fani-Kayode blasts Momodu

Nigeria’s Ambassador to Germany, Femi Fani-Kayode, has renewed his criticism of media mogul and African Democratic Congress chieftain, Dele Momodu, saying his influence in the political space would wane further as the 2027 elections approach.

Fani-Kayode’s remarks followed Momodu’s earlier attack on him and Reno Omokri, whom he accused of lacking integrity and credibility.

Reacting via his X account, the former minister said he was unfazed by Momodu’s comments, noting that his earlier write-up had been measured, but apparently struck a nerve.

He criticised Momodu’s response as overly emotional and lacking logical depth, adding that it reflected a man grappling with declining relevance.

According to him, Momodu has become a diminished figure in the political arena and is no longer as influential as he once was.

Fani-Kayode also expressed confidence that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu would emerge victorious in the 2027 presidential election, insisting that such an outcome would further push Momodu out of relevance.

He dismissed attempts to revive past statements he made against Tinubu, explaining that those views were expressed during his time in the opposition and do not invalidate his current position.

The envoy also rejected Momodu’s description of the President as authoritarian, maintaining that such assertions were baseless.
