Ondo: Why I dumped ADC – Ex-Vice Chairman reveals

The Vice Chairman of the African Democratic Congress in Ondo State, Dr Eric Oluwole, has formally withdrawn his membership from the party over persistent internal disagreements.

Oluwole, who served as the party’s deputy leader in charge of Ondo Central Senatorial District, made this known in a letter submitted to Ward 7 officials in Ondo West Local Government Area.

He attributed his resignation to what he described as deep-seated divisions arising from the protracted leadership crisis rocking the party.

The politician stated that his decision came after holding wide-ranging consultations with his political allies, supporters, and key stakeholders within his camp.

He lamented that the ongoing crisis had stalled his political ambitions and prevented his supporters from making meaningful contributions to the political growth of Ondo State and Nigeria.

Oluwole further expressed frustration over the situation, noting that the unresolved issues within the party had become overwhelming and detrimental to his political future.

He emphasised that cohesion, tolerance, and willingness to reconcile differences were vital for any political party aiming to succeed, adding that such attributes were currently lacking in the ADC.

The former party chieftain, however, revealed that he and members of his political structure would soon align with another platform where they could pursue their goals in a more stable and conducive environment.
