2027: Razaq Obe Media Team dismisses ‘consensus’ claim in Idanre/Ifedore constituency

A political group in Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency has dismissed reports suggesting that a consensus arrangement has been reached ahead of the 2027 general elections, describing the claim as false and misleading.

The position was contained in a statement issued by the Razaq Obe Media Team, which warned residents and stakeholders against what it called a calculated attempt by some political actors to manipulate public perception.

The group maintained that no such agreement had been reached among aspirants, party leaders, or relevant stakeholders within the constituency, stressing that the narrative being circulated did not reflect reality.

It explained that a genuine consensus process involves broad consultations, mutual understanding, and the alignment of interests among all parties involved, noting that none of these conditions had been met in the present case.

According to the statement, the alleged consensus claim was a product of propaganda aimed at deceiving the electorate and gaining undue political advantage.

The group further alleged that individuals behind the narrative lacked grassroots support and were attempting to impose themselves on the people through misinformation.

It reaffirmed that the constituency is known for its values of integrity and transparency, adding that residents would not allow the democratic process to be undermined by what it described as desperate political manoeuvres.

The statement urged the people of Idanre/Ifedore to remain vigilant and informed, insisting that the future leadership of the constituency must be determined through a credible and transparent process driven by the will of the people.
