Residents of Idanre and Ifedore have expressed excitement over the return ticket secured by Hon. Festus Akingbaso, the member representing Idanre/Ifedore Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives

According to a statement issued on Tuesday by the Fessy West Media Team and jointly signed by Kelvin Babalola and Prince Adelanke Adetoyese, residents of the federal constituency welcomed the outcome of the party’s primary election, describing the process as transparent and in line with due process.

The media team attributed Akingbaso’s victory at the primary election to what it described as his impactful representation, noting that his empowerment initiatives, employment opportunities and other constituency projects had earned him widespread support.

The statement reads, The people of Idanre and Ifedore Federal Constituency are delighted that the party’s leadership conducted a credible and transparent primary election.

“The outcome reflects the wishes of the majority and demonstrates that due process was followed.”

“Hon. Festus Akingbaso’s emergence is a testament to his commitment to quality representation, grassroots development and the numerous empowerment and employment opportunities he has facilitated for the people of the constituency.”

“Over the years, his dedication to the welfare of the people has continued to inspire confidence across the constituency.

“This renewed mandate is a reflection of the trust and goodwill he has earned through effective and people-oriented representation.”

“We appreciate the leadership of the party and supporters for ensuring a peaceful and transparent process.

“We urge all party members and stakeholders to remain united as we work together towards successful outing in the forthcoming general election.”

The group, however, expressed confidence that Akingbaso would sustain his developmental strides if re-elected in 2027 to represent the constituency in the House of Representatives.
