A 16-year-old boy, identified simply as Amir, has reportedly lost his life after he was allegedly stabbed by a friend during a disagreement in the Gama community of Nassarawa Local Government Area of Kano State.

The incident was said to have occurred on Thursday night following an argument between the two teenagers.

According to reports, the altercation escalated before the suspect allegedly attacked Amir, leaving him with fatal injuries.

The deceased, who worked as a tailor, was laid to rest on Friday in line with Islamic rites. Family members, friends and residents of the community attended the burial to pay their final respects.

Residents described Amir as a disciplined, hardworking and respectful young man whose death has left the community in mourning.

As of the time of filing this report, the Kano State Police Command had yet to issue an official statement on the incident. It also remained unclear whether any suspect had been arrested in connection with the case.
