The Civil Defence, Correctional, Fire and Immigration Services Board has advanced its 2024/2025 recruitment exercise to the physical screening and document verification stage for applicants seeking employment into four paramilitary agencies.
The board urged candidates who sat for the Computer-Based Test conducted in November 2025 to log on to its official recruitment portal and confirm whether they had been shortlisted.
The Secretary of the CDCFIB, Maj Gen Abdulmalik Jibril (retd.), disclosed this in a statement issued on Friday.
The board said shortlisted applicants would be required to upload their credentials and select a preferred date and venue for the physical screening.
Applicants are expected to access the recruitment portal using the application number issued to them during the initial registration process.
The board advised candidates to carefully read and comply with the instructions provided on the portal throughout the screening process.
It also warned applicants against falling victim to fraudsters promising to influence the recruitment exercise.
According to the board, participation in the recruitment process is completely free, stressing that no applicant should make payments to agents, individuals, groups or organisations claiming to have connections with the board.
The CDCFIB specifically cautioned applicants against paying anyone who claims to be able to secure shortlisting, facilitate venue selection, assist with document uploads, guarantee access to screening centres or influence the final selection.
The board further urged members of the public to disregard unauthorised recruitment messages, suspicious links and individuals falsely presenting themselves as representatives of the CDCFIB.
It assured applicants that the exercise would be conducted in line with the principles of transparency, credibility and merit, as well as existing regulations governing recruitment into the services.
The recruitment exercise covers the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, Nigeria Immigration Service, Nigerian Correctional Service and Federal Fire Service.
The process commenced with online applications in July 2025, followed by the Computer-Based Test in November of the same year.
The development comes after the board had earlier announced that the recruitment process was approaching completion and would be concluded within four weeks.
The CDCFIB had explained that it would not sacrifice due process in an attempt to speed up the exercise, noting that justice, merit, federal character and the operational needs of the four services would guide the final stages.
The board said the remaining stages of the recruitment exercise would be completed within four weeks.
